Scott Albrecht: Being

New Hand-Painted Works on Wood

Line Dot is thrilled to be releasing an exclusive new series of three individually painted and hand-carved works on wood by Scott Albrecht. A self-taught woodworker, Albrecht's recognizable style takes a traditional medium and updates it with contemporary concepts and a modern color palette. Each unique piece in the series is entitled 'Being' and is based on Albrecht's translation of that phrase into an abstracted geometric typography. This is our second collaboration with the Brooklyn-based artist, following a successful release early last year. His work has been exhibited and published internationally, including a successful recent solo show at Shepard Fairey's gallery Subliminal Projects in Los Angeles.

Just in time for holiday gifting, the series is available now on our site.

Illustration is one of the most versatile art forms and is quickly becoming a prominent and innovative field of contemporary visual culture. This new group show entitled EIGHT proudly presents eight pioneering artists who are navigating that liminal space between illustration and fine art. These leading creatives are continuously pushing their own boundaries and searching for new visual challenges and solutions. For this exhibition, each artist has contributed a series of eight original works on paper that capture their distinct style and visual language.

Taylor White: Sustained Momentum

Line Dot is thrilled to present 'Sustained Momentum', a collection of six acrylic and aerosol paintings by Taylor White now at the gallery and available online here.

In this new series, White synthesizes the refined techniques of figure painting with the bright color and expressive movement of street art. Heavily influenced by improvisational dance, White grounds her visual vocabulary in the exquisite grace of the human body as it traverses through space. Her paintings utilize the human form to transcribe conversations, explore fields of consciousness, and realize the cathartic points at which the soul confronts its physical form.

In addition to her large-scale murals and street art around the world, White has exhibited in major international cities from Sydney to Berlin, Oslo to Miami.
